Madrid, April 24th, 2025. Dr. Rocío Borrego-Varillas is staff researcher in the Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnology of the Italian research council, IFN-CNR. She obtained her PhD in Physics from the University of Salamanca (Spain), with visiting periods at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (Germany) and Universitat Jaume I (Spain). In 2013 she was awarded a Marie Curie fellowship and joined Prof. Cerullo’s group at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). At present she is responsible of the scientific activity in the laboratory for attosecond dynamics in molecules. Her research interests include few-cycle pulse generation in the UV, ultrafast spectroscopy of biomolecules and sub-femtosecond electron dynamics.
Antonio G. Armas interviews Rocío Borrego for the programme “Investigadores por el mundo” by Radio Libertad, an interview in cooperation with the Association of Spanish Researchers in the Italian Republic (ASIERI).
